Hearts 1st has a strong interest in education and training, not only for our own staff, but also for our referring doctors.

Hearts 1st offers training to cardiologists wishing to further their experience in multi-modality imaging via an Echocardiologist Fellowship. All of our technicians are trained in-house and we offer continued education from ECG through to cardiac sonography in conjunction with the Graduate Diploma in Cardiac Ultrasound for those wishing to further their qualifications.

Hearts 1st works closely with various universities for practicum placement for exercise science students. During their time at Hearts 1st, work experience students gain invaluable knowledge and practical skills in the areas of ECG, blood pressure, and holter monitoring along with stress testing. Many of these students go on to paid employment with Hearts 1st following their work experience.

In addition we are an RACGP accredited activity provider offering both face-to-face and online education for GPs and practice nurses. We provide high quality training in cardiology and cardiac diagnostics relevant to general practice.

We also support our referring doctors through our GP Priority line, which links GPs directly to a cardiologist.
