Dr Sam Fogarty is excited to have returned to Toowoomba after growing up locally. Sam previously worked as a pharmacist in Toowoomba before completing medical school at University of Queensland. Sam undertook his resident and basic physician training at Toowoomba Hospital before relocating to Brisbane for advanced training in Cardiology, spending time at Princess Alexandra and the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospitals.
Following the completion of his Cardiology Training, Sam undertook a two year multimodal cardiac imaging fellowship at Royal Melbourne Hospital encompassing echocardiography, cardiac CT and MRI, with a strong focus on congenital cardiac diseases. Sam subsequently completed a further 12 month echocardiography fellowship with Hearts 1st.
Sam practices general cardiology with Hearts 1st with a particular interest in cardiac imaging, including stress echo, transoesophageal echo and cardiac CT.
